Buck Hamblin is the newest licensed cafe to open in Thirroul, they offer homemade produce, served fresh. Menu includes fancy toast, grained porridge, poached eggs, salad & sandwiches.
Bucks has been a part of Thirroul for as long as anyone can remember. Opening as a shoe store in 1940, Albert "Buck" Hamblin was the first of three generations to call this building home. You'd be hard pressed to find locals who hadn't bought their school shoes here, who can affectionately remember the pink and green shelves and floor tiles.
Shutting its doors in the year 2000, the shop remained unchanged until now. A fresh breath of air has given Bucks a new lease on life, but it's bones remain the same: a family business here for the long haul, to offer the community a new space to gather, eat, drink and be merry.
