Thirroul Guru

As the sky turned brown and burnt leaves floated down, the smell of smoke and sight of smoke haze lingered right across Thirroul and the beach.

Saturday 21st December was like no other; I took this photo of the coastline looking north towards Thirroul Beach. The photo I describe as; monotone or sepia an art process that you would typically apply to a photo through a process or filter.  But this wasn't an effect it was real, the reality of thick bushfire smoke at it's worst, blown up and across the coast from massive bushfires burning across the state of New South Wales.

The photo below shows a burnt leaf one of many blown in from bushfires hundreds of kilometres away.
